FW 5.9 Hair - Your Halo of Loveliness

 


In this video I begin by reading from Pamphlet 5 of the original 1922 Fascinating Womanhood pamphlets.  The section is called "What the Hair Should Do."

I tell a few stories and reveal what I discovered in my research about:

  • Lint on your hairbrush
  • How many times should you brush?
  • Hairspray can clog your ________!

  • Scalp massagers and dandruff combs
  • Pillowcases, hypoallergenic covers, and pillows
  • Only hot water kills dust mites!

  • A – Ash
  • B – Blue
  • BV- Blue-Violet
  • C – Cool
  • G – Gold
  • M – Mahogany
  • N – Neutral
  • NA – Neutral Ash
  • NB – Neutral Brown
  • NN – Natural/Neutral (no excess warmth)
  • O – Orange
  • OR – Orange-Red
  • P – Platinum/Purple
  • R – Red
  • RR – Really Red (red without brown)
  • RB – Red-Brown
  • RC – Red-Copper
  • RO – Red-Orange
  • RV – Red-Violet
  • V – Violet
  • VR- Violet-Red
  • W – Warm

1 black; 2 darkest brown; 3 dark brown; 4 brown; 5 light brown; 6 dark blonde; 7 blonde; 8 very light blonde; 9 lighter blonde; 10  lightest blonde

But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering.  1 Cor. 11:15

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.  1 Corinthians 6:20

 ...in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.  1 Timothy 2:9-10

  1. I can't use conditioner on my hair as it makes my hair limp. I use a little bit of texturizing spray and it gives it a nice lift and fullness. Thanks for all the info in this post.
